Peru sets transmission call cost caps

Peru released maximum costs for a concession to reinforce transmission infrastructure in southeast Puno region.

The maximum investment cost for the Azángaro-Juliaca-Puno project is US$67mn, according to private investment promotion agency ProInversión. The annual O&M cost was capped at US$2.03mn.

The competition factor for the 30-year concession will be the lowest total service cost offered, composed of maximum annual investment and O&M. Qualification documents are due by November 7.

The 220kV, 110km line and substations will connect hydro plants to the national grid.

Bidding is also underway for transmission concessions Carapongo, Industriales-Córpac and Nueva Lurín.
