Guatemala tenders technical assistance contract for urban water

Guatemala's institute of municipal promotion, Infom, has called for expressions of interest in providing technical assistance to develop its potable water and sanitation in urban areas program, Patu, according to a tender notice. The winning bidder will be required to assist in the pre-investment, contracting and monitoring phases of the works financed under the program, strengthen tendering processes and carry out institutional capacity building with the municipal water authorities. The program is being financed by a loan from the IDB and a donation from the Spanish cooperation fund for water and sanitation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The contract will last for 36 months. Interested bidders must submit their proposals by October 17 and further details are available on the UN's Development Business website here
