
Honduras to refurbish Tegucigalpa’s water supply system

Honduras is seeking a management services consultant for a project to refurbish the water supply system of capital Tegucigalpa.
According to a tender notice published on procurement website Honducompras, the work is the first stage of a long-term project to guarantee the supply of water and sewage services for all residents of the city in a financially sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
The objectives include creating a new municipal operator of water and sewage services, refurbishment works and increasing water production and the capacity of the distribution network, as well as boosting security at Los Laureles and La Concepción dams, and developing tools to support management of basins and climate resistance.
Interested companies can send expressions of interest until August 24.
