IBM to begin offering multi-cloud services in Costa Rica
IBM will begin offering multi-cloud management platform services from Costa Rica this year.
“This full service will now be provided from Costa Rica and with local talent, to international clients from various industries, such as financial services, distribution, manufacturing and government,” the Costa Rican government said in a statement on Thursday.
The launch of the services is part of a US$21mn investment plan for Costa Rica that IBM presented in February 2019.
The investment, which was earmarked to expand infrastructure and employee training, will make the company’s Costa Rica global security services center its largest in Latin America.
About 98% of companies plan to adopt multi-cloud infrastructure by 2021, but only 38% have a strategy to do so, according to IBM.
