IN BRIEF: Costa Rica tenders telecom infra project

Costa Rican telecom regulator Sutel, through its national telecom fund Fonatel, has announced a tender to install telecom infrastructure in six Atlantic coast regions.

The project entails deploying fixed internet and mobile broadband infrastructure in Guácimo, Pococí, Siquirres, Matina, Limón and Talamanca, according to a release from the watchdog. About 200,000 residents, including 35,000 students, are expected to benefit.

Sutel will receive bids until December 11.
