IN BRIEF: Costa Rica to name new public works minister

Carlos Villalta has been named as head of Costa Rica's public works and transport ministry (MOPT), local media reported.
Villalta (pictured), who leads MOPT's roads investment unit, will replace Carlos Segnini, who left the ministry in January due to tense relations with various entities involved with Costa Rica's infrastructure sector, according to the reports.
Among tasks facing Villalta is the creation of a national infrastructure unit and the shuttering of national roads council Conavi.
