IN BRIEF: Harsco secures Mexico City airport fencing deal
Harsco Corporation will supply high-security fencing for the new Mexico City International Airport.
In a deal worth about US$10mn, the US-based company will install more than 20km of heavy-duty steel fencing to provide security around the entire perimeter.
The fencing will be produced at Harsco Industrial IKG division's plant in Querétaro, Mexico.
The new airport, budgeted at US$12.8bn and located close to Mexico City's current international terminal, is due for completion in 2020 and will be operated by GACM. It will be able to handle 120mn passengers a year, making it Latin America's largest airport.
