Brazil reports lower primary aluminum output in Jan-Nov

Brazil's primary aluminum production fell 25.7% in the first 11 months of the year to 891,200t, said aluminum association Abal.

Primary aluminum output in November declined 31.4% year-on-year to 69,300t from 101,000t. Brazil's output has been falling steadily since January.

In the 12-month period through November primary aluminum output reached 1.30Mt, Abal said.

In 2013, primary aluminum production totaled 1.30Mt.

Abal is made up of CBA, part of local conglomerate Votorantim; US-based Alcoa; BHP Billiton, and aluminum producers Albras and Novelis.
