Mexico allocates funds to build Puebla elevated highway

Mexico's transport and communications ministry (SCT) has allocated 500mn pesos (US$28.1mn) to build the Puebla elevated highway, according to a notice published in the official gazette.
The project, which is valued at 10bn pesos, is being built by Pinfra and OHL México, a firm embroiled in recent scandals.
The 13.3km four-lane tollroad will be built as an overpass above the Mexico City-Puebla-Veracruz federal highway.
OHL Mexico has said that construction will be concluded in July this year.
In August 2014, OHL México was awarded a 30-year concession to construct, operate and maintain the road.
