Mexico’s federal govt investment drops 17.8%

Investment by Mexico’s federal government dropped 17.8% last year, the biggest decrease in two years, as austerity measures and project cancellations took their toll.
Investment stood at 569bn pesos (US$30.3bn), daily La Jornada reported.
The report said none of the projects pushed by the current administration advanced more than 4% in physical terms in 2019, including the new Santa Lucía airport.
