Brazil's iron ore pellet exports to fellow Mercosur nations rose 74.4% year-on-year in January-July to US$97.8mn, foreign trade department Secex reported.
The country shipped 1.27Mt of iron ore pellets to bloc members, up from 1.13Mt a year earlier.
Rolled iron and steel product exports to Mercosur shot up 56.5% to US$74.8mn, according to Secex, while shipments rose to 86,888t from 77,311t.
Unwrought aluminum exports to fellow Mercosur countries – Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay – dropped 33.1% to US$77.2mn as volumes slumped to 245,398t from 475,498t.
Mineral fertilizer exports to the bloc rose 6.98% to US$68.4mn, with volumes increasing to 202,461t from 183,333t.
Brazil's total exports to Mercosur in the period were US$12.8bn, up 27.4% from US$10.0bn a year before.
