
Ministry of Energy and ANETA are committed to electric mobility in Ecuador

On January 19, the Ministry of Energy and Mines; and Automóvil Club del Ecuador ANETA, signed an Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement, with the objective of executing actions aimed at strengthening electric mobility in Ecuador, reducing the environmental impact generated by land transport and encouraging efficient driving. The document was signed by the Vice Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Enith Carrión and by the General Manager of ANETA, Gorki Obando .
The Agreement will be valid for two years and contemplates lines of action focused on:
- Electric Mobility in Ecuador
- Development of joint projects.
- Awareness and awareness campaigns.
- Promote and identify opportunities in the regulatory framework to promote electric mobility.
- Efficient driving
- Trainings.
- Fleet information.
- Inclusion in driving schools.
- Driver's license exam.
- electric mobility.
The objective of this initiative is to generate public awareness in terms of promoting electric mobility, in order to reduce pollution and the generation of polluting gases, which produce the greenhouse effect and climate change.
During her speech, the Vice Minister of Electricity, Enith Carrión, indicated: "The signing of this Agreement is very important since it is part of the sectoral objectives of energy efficiency, transport and electric mobility, parameters that are aimed at caring for the environment and saving energetic” .
The meeting also included the participation of the Undersecretary for Energy Distribution and Marketing, Patricio Villavicencio, and the Director of Sustainable Mobility of ANETA, Ana Gabriela Dávila.
The National Government, through the Ministry of Energy and Mines, promotes programs and projects aimed at energy efficiency with the aim of reducing air pollution and emissions of polluting gases, in order to face climate change and global warming.
