
MTC announces a tender for the construction of an access road to the Chinchero airport

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC), through Provías Nacional, initiated the call for the construction of the access road to Chinchero International Airport.
This project is located in the district of Chinchero, province of Urubamba, Cusco region, and will benefit more than 67 thousand inhabitants of the area. In addition, it will improve the conditions of land transportation, generate new jobs and increase the quality of life and opportunities of the residents of the region. And, mainly, it will boost tourism.
In this way, the MTC is working on the works that will allow the transfer to and from the Chinchero International Airport, with the aim of providing Peruvians with the necessary land infrastructure that will be connected to the air facility.
The work contemplates the paving of 7.5 kilometers, two lanes, lateral berms, road safety signs, among other components.
The call is published on the platform of the Electronic System of the State Procurement Supervisory Body (SEACE). The process begins with the registration of interested bidders. Queries about the contest may be made until September 12, according to the established schedule.
