GeoPark completes Chile well testing
Chilean oil and gas firm GeoPark completed drilling and testing of its Ache 1 exploration well in its wholly owned and operated Fell block.
The well, in Magallanes region (XII), was drilled to a depth of 9,694ft (2954.7m). Testing showed average production of 9.2Mf3/d (260,515m3/d) of gas and 80b/d of condensate of 47 degree API.
GeoPark is executing a US$150mn drilling program in Chile that includes 15-20 wells in the Fell block and 17-23 wells in the Flamenco, Campanario and Isla Norte blocks in Tierra del Fuego.
The company plans to drill 50-60 new wells in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Chile in 2014.
