Venezuelan food producer holding Empresas Polar has upgraded to the latest version of BlackBerry's Enterprise Mobility Management solution, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (version10.1), the latter said in a statement. BlackBerry's Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) product portfolio includes Mobile Device Management (MDM), security, infrastructure and app management, all accessible from a single console. *** Nokia Solutions and Networks ( NSN) has appointed Almir Luiz Narcizo as the firm's new VP for Latin America, effective from October 14, the company said in a statement. The recently appointed executive was president of Nokia Brasil's mobile device unit from 2007. Narcizo will be based in São Paulo, Brazil. *** Ecuador ended August with 17.3mn mobile subscribers, according to the country's telecoms watchdog Supertel. Prepaid subscribers totaled 13.9mn subscribers, while postpaid clients accounted for the remainder. Mobile operator Claro led the market at end-August with 11.7mn subscribers, according to the watchdog.
