The tender, which is part of a rail rehabilitation program announced by the federal government for southern Mexico, was launched by the navy ministry. A winner is expected to be announced on May 11.
According to documents, the companies that attended a clarifications meeting on April 19 are:

Two other companies showed interest in the project and posted queries through procurement system Compranet, but did not turn up to the meeting: Construcciones Aldesem and COMSA Infraestructuras.
