BRAZIL
President-elect Jair Bolsonaro announced that admiral Bento Costa Lima Leite de Albuquerque Junior will be his energy minister.
Petrobras said it is analyzing a proposal for an US$85bn investment plan for 2019-23.
The energy giant also reported that it sold assets for a total of US$823mn to Perenco and 3R Petroleum.
COLOMBIA
Ecopetrol said it will outlay between US$3.5bn and US$4bn in 2019.
EPM budgeted 17.4tn pesos (US$5.26bn) for investments next year.
MEXICO
The US$8.6bn Dos Bocas oil refinery project of president-elect Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador received the backing of 91.6% of voters in a non-binding consultation.
Pemex upped the 3P reserves of its Ixachi discovery to more than 1Bboe, making it the most important onshore discovery in the country in the last 25 years.
PERU
Petroperú received US$1.3bn for the Talara refinery modernization project.
And President Martín Vizcarra announced that PetroTal will start commercial development of block 95.
