It covers the municipalities of Peñaflor, Calera de Tango and San Bernardo, allowing the decongestion of consolidated urban areas, raising safety conditions, technical standards and service levels. The initiative considers the creation of a dual carriageway, with project speeds between 100 and 120 km/h, and its route runs from Route 79 (South Access to Santiago) to the Maipo River, bordering its northern bank, incorporating a new connection with Route 5. It then crosses Route 5 and the railroad line through an overpass, continuing to the west until it connects with Route 78 (Santiago - San Antonio Highway) through a junction. In the section between Route 5 and Route 78 (Santiago - San Antonio Highway), the Project continues parallel to the south of the existing Calera de Tango road, avoiding a heavily consolidated area. The concession will include the construction, conservation or maintenance and exploitation or operation of the works within the concession area.
