Water reservoir Irrigation system Dams Concessions

Description: The project consists of the construction, maintenance and operation of a reservoir whose main objective will be to ensure and allow the irrigation of the middle and lower zone of the Petorca River basin. The dam will have a breakwater design with a concrete face. The reservoir will be located about 17 km west of the town of Petorca, in the Petorca Commune, Valparaíso Region. In addition, the reservoir will ensure the availability of water resources for human consumption in rural communities by supplying water deficits in times of drought. The concession period will be 19 years, with an estimated official budget of 3,880,000 UF (an inflation-indexed unit), equivalent to US$158.8 million.
