Initial details of the project contemplate that the line runs parallel to the Pan-American highway and has 12 stations and a fourth bridge over the Panama Canal. Metro Line 3 is anticipated to carry up to 20,000 users in one direction during peak hours (in its phase 1) The operation will be divided into two circuits: Eastern Circuit: starting from Albrook to Nuevo Chorrillo (17.5 km) Complete Circuit: Albrook to City of the Future (26.7 Km)
