The project is designed to improve traffic flow, allow safer pedestrian transit and permit easier access to the metro stations and businesses in the area. Where feasible, the highway will be widened to three lanes. The work to be carried out also includes improving the integration of the public bus system with line 1 of the Metro, facilitating the transfer of passengers between the two systems. The stretch is located in Panama City between Avenida La Paz and the entrance to Villa Zaita.
