Description: Tránsito Mining Project Mining development projects over 5,000 tons/month The Tránsito Mining Project consists of the exploitation of a deposit of oxidized and sulfide copper minerals, with a total extraction rate of 100,000 tons per month, for a period of 12 years. The material extracted from the mines will be taken to the current mineral processing facilities, Biocobre Plant and San José Plant, for the production of copper from oxides and sulfides, respectively. It should be noted that the inclusion of ore extracted by the Project does not modify the processing capacity of the existing plants in Pucobre, which have their respective operating authorizations. The parts and works of the Project will be located in the Tierra Amarilla commune, Copiapó Province, Atacama Region, and its transportation activities contemplate the use of public routes in the Tierra Amarilla and Copiapó communes. The Project intends to carry out the exploitation of oxidized and sulphide copper minerals using the underground method by self-support and sinking of chambers. According to the location of the mineral reserves, four sectors are defined for the qualification of the parts and works of the Project: Revoltosa Sector, Deubree Sector, Transit Sector and Omega Sector. In each sector, the empowerment of access portals to the underground mine, mineral stocks and waste dumps is projected. Additionally, the Project will enable a plant for the treatment of oxidized material extracted from the underground mine, which will have a Scorpion-type mobile crushing plant and a mobile ore classification plant using Sorter technology, which will allow for a selection of oxidized ore. that will be sent to the Biocobre Plant. Regarding the infrastructure to support the mining operation, the Project contemplates the fitting out of two work facilities, one in the Deubree Sector and the other in the Tránsito Sector. It also contemplates the construction of water storage pools, necessary for the Project's water supply, the qualification of magazines, roads and access checkpoints. The objective of the Project is the exploitation of oxidized and sulfide copper minerals to maintain the supply of the production process of copper anodes and concentrates that is currently carried out at the Biocobre and San José de Pucobre plants.
