For the above, an extension of the operation phase in seven (7) years is estimated, with an annual extraction rate that will not exceed the maximum established in RCA No. 264/2009. The Project will use the existing facilities of the Concordia Mine, will maintain the current method of extraction, Room and Pillar, and will implement the Sublevel Stopping and Long Shot methods due to the new mineralized sectors. The marines[1] that are extracted as a result of the qualification of the new exploitation areas, will be disposed of in the Concordia dump, which is located in the same place assigned to the waste dump authorized by RCA No. 264/2009. The sterile material originally extracted from the Concordia Mine and deposited in the aforementioned dump, was reused for the construction of the "Doña Rosa" Tailings Deposit, as approved by Ex. Res. No. 096/2011 of the Commission for Evaluation of the XI Region of Aysén. This Project does not consider making expansions in the Concordia dump area. Additionally, the Project contemplates the construction of a ventilation chimney and an equalization pool as improvements to the underground mine and to the outcrop water treatment system from inside the mine, respectively. Finally, it is relevant to indicate that the areas destined to the implementation of both the ventilation chimney and the equalization pool correspond to intervened areas.
