Centrais Elétricas do Pará (Celpa), founded in 1962, is a Brazilian power distribution subsidiary of Equatorial Energia with headquarters in Belém, which supplies electricity for residential, industrial, commercial, and rural clients, as well as for public lighting, in the State of Pará. Celpa's concession area comprises 1,247,955 km2, serving over 2.6 million consumers in 144 municipalities under a 30-year contract expiring in 2028. In 2018, Celpa inaugurated its new Princesa do Xingu substation to benefit 35,000 people in the city of Altamira.
