Metso Chile S.A. is the Chilean subsidiary of multinational Finnish company Metso Oyj. It supplies services and solutions mainly to the mining, pulp & paper and recycling industries. It also offers solutions and automation service for the construction and oil & gas sectors. It is headquartered in Santiago, with regional branches in Antofagasta, Calama, Concepción and Concon. Its major projects include a contract with Chile's state copper miner Codelco in 2014 for overhauling 33 ball mils at two Chuquicamata plants. It also implemented production upgrades at El Teniente copper mine, and installed the Megaliner mill lining system at the Andina Division, both owned by Codelco. In 2015 it implemented upgrades to increase gold and copper production at Minera Esperanza mine, owned by Antofagasta Minerals. Another significant project was a complete tissue production line to paper company CMPC in Talagante, which started operations in 2013.
