IN BRIEF: Isolux seeks dialogue over Bolivia impasse

Spain's Isolux Corsán said it seeks a "negotiated solution" with Bolivia's government regarding the 200MW Miguillas hydroelectric project after the energy ministry confirmed the decision to rescind Corsán-Corviam's contract and begin the process to execute guarantees over alleged construction problems.

In a statement, the group said workers were obliged to withdraw due to safety reasons and nonfulfillment of contractual obligations not attributable to Corsán-Corviam and unresolved work events.

Isolux added that the government's decision was unilateral and that state power company Ende did not entertain alternatives presented on several occasions by the group.
