Bolivia's state hydrocarbons company YPFB announced that Ros Roca Indox Cryo Energy submitted the sole bid for a virtual LNG supply project, which entails cistern trucks transporting LNG from a liquefaction plant to storage and regasification facilities.
The plant is planned for Santa Cruz department next to the Río Grande liquids separation plant in development. A decision is expected later this month.
The NOC also reported that in association with the Santa Cruz municipalities association (Amdecruz) some US$52mn will be invested in a natural gas distribution project for the Chiquitana region in Santa Cruz department.
The Gas-Chuiquitanos project falls under YPFB's 2010-15 expansion plan and will be coordinated by the company's pipeline business unit.
And YPFB announced that its six subsidiaries saw net profits in the first half increase 62% to US$228mn compared to US$141mn in 1H11.
E&P companies Chaco and Andina earned net profits of US$81.6mn and US$71.9mn followed by Transporte (includes GTB) US$45.2mn, Refinación US$28.3mn, Logística US$1.51mn and Aviación US$390,000, according to the parent, which added that JV Petroandina was not included as it is in the investment phase.
