Asuncion hospital waste tender draws 3 offers

Companies Geresurb, Inspectopar and Inpagas have submitted offers to collect, transport and dispose of Paraguayan capital Asuncion's hospital waste, the municipality reported.

The winning company will be responsible for collecting waste from 250 private health establishments. According to local press, the company will have to invest some US$450,000 and stands to collect some 5.2bn guaranies/month (US$825,000).

Geresurb is a consortium made up of Paraguayan company Control and Argentina's Agrotecnica Fueguina, Inspectopar is the local subsidiary of Argentine company Habitat Ecologico and Inpagas is a local industrial gas firm.
