IDB okays US$20mn for low-income community improvement program

IDB has greenlighted two loans worth US$20mn to finance a housing and neighborhood improvement program for low-income families in Nicaragua.

One component of the project will involve working with community organizations in neighborhoods lacking basic services, financing the provision of potable water, sewerage systems, storm drains, public lighting, electricity and road infrastructure.

Overall, the program aims to improve infrastructure for 4,000 families in neighborhoods lacking basic services.
