Quintana Roo to invest US$55.5mn in water, road infrastructure

Mexico's Quintana Roo state will invest 768mn pesos (US$55.5mn) in basic social infrastructure during 2012, according to a release.

The funds will go toward projects in marginalized urban and rural areas, said the director of the state social development ministry (Sedes), Ángel Rivero.

Works will include construction of potable water distribution networks and rural roads and the extension of the electricity network.
