The Institute of State Workers Social Security and Social Services, ISSSTE, is a decentralized Mexican organization founded in 1959, which provides state workers, and retired workers with health services and social benefits such as unemployment insurance and preventive medicine. Currently, it is pushing forward a Public Private Partnership (PPP) program targeted at the construction of healthcare infrastructure through a tender process. Under the program, it is conducting construction works for a hospital in the city of Mérida, and other projects in the pipeline are the construction of hospitals in the cities of Tabasco, Nayarit and Mexico City.
