Description:
Ladaner S.A. is a Uruguayan company that generates electric power from wind sources. It is the owner and operator of the Cerro Grande wind farm, located in the department of Cerro Largo, Uruguay, in operation since January 2018. The company sells all its energy to UTE, the state-owned electric utility, under a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Ladaner S.A. used to be a subsidiary of Enercon GmbH, the German wind turbine manufacturer, together with its partner eab New Energy GmbH as co-shareholder. In September 2019, both companies sold 100% of their shares to the Dutch fund DIF Infrastructure Fund V, managed by DIF Capital Partners (now CVC DIF), in that fund’s first investment in South America. At the end of 2024, the Argentine oil company Pluspetrol acquired the company as part of its first entry into the renewable energy business.
