Orion to increase capital by US$1.2mn through share issue

Chilean P&C insurer Orion plans to increase its capital by 600mn pesos (US$1.19mn) through a share issuance that will be decided by an extraordinary shareholders meeting, the company said in a filing with local securities and insurance regulator SVS. Orion is owned by a group of local investors and lawyers and started operations in December 2008 with 2bn pesos in initial capital.
