On the Mayan Train, the reinstallation of high-voltage electricity pylons is advancing, as well as the construction of the bridge to cross the Chacamax River and a viaduct in Champotón, in addition to tests to assemble high-tech equipment to guarantee the Vibration and pressure support before the movement of the train.
In section 3 , Calkiní-Izamal, the adaptation of the towers, near the Tahdzibichén police station, in Mérida, Yucatán, responds to the elevation generated by the track platform. Each tower rises from 37 to 44 meters, with a capacity of 230 kilovolts and, to date, 26 of the 43 towers that will be reinstalled along this stretch have been adapted.
In Palenque, Chiapas, corresponding to section 1 , which goes from this municipality to Escárcega, Campeche, steel reinforcements for the bridge where the Mayan Train will cross the Chacamax River are advancing.
A passage for fauna and agricultural machinery is also built. Sub-ballast laying continues throughout this section for the placement of ballast, rails and sleepers, with more than 60 kilometers already completed at the sub-ballast level.
In section 2, from Escárcega to Calkiní, at the height of Miguel Colorado, municipality of Champotón, Campeche, ironwork and pile foundation works are advancing for the construction of a viaduct. In Escárcega, the creation of the embankment and the transversal drainage works continue.
In section 4, from Izamal to Cancún, the rail welding continues for the railway in the vicinity of the Tinum municipality, in Yucatán. So far, there has been progress of more than 35 kilometers in welding and reinforcing the double-track rail, which will later be mounted on the sleepers.
Also in this section, in the warehouse of equipment and materials for railway stations and systems, installed in Ucú, Yucatán, drilling and fixing tests are carried out on a provisional track.
Once validated, these perforations and fixings will be applied to the real track to install state-of-the-art, high-tech equipment that guarantees vibration and pressure support when the train moves. The Mayan Train advances.
