Argentina's Chaco seeks CAF financing for gas pipeline
Argentina's Chaco province is in talks with Latin American development bank CAF to secure US$52mn in financing for a residential natural gas distribution pipeline network.
The project would allow gas transported via the GNEA pipeline, which is currently under construction, to reach 70% of Chaco's population, a provincial government statement said.
Governor Domingo Peppo met with the multilateral organization's Argentina director, Rubén Ramírez, to discuss the status of the pending loan.
In Argentina, 60% of homes have access to piped natural gas, according to the energy and mining ministry.
