Brief: Firms gearing up to import fuel into Mexican market
US fuel distributor VP Racing Fuels reached an agreement with its first Mexican distributor, Consultores Internacionales Bisonte, for the branding of its gasoline stations and convenience stores in Mexico.
The company hopes to reach 100 retail locations in Mexico by the end of 2019.
In related news, Baja California Railroad will build a terminal for gasoline storage in Tijuana to receive imports from the US, according to financial daily El Economista.
The storage terminal will require an investment of approximately US$25mn and is expected to be in operation before 2019.
