Casa dos Ventos to hold power auction for Brazil's free market
Brazilian wind power generation firm Casa dos Ventos will hold an auction on August 10 to sell electric power to the free market, where companies buy energy from suppliers.
The aim of the auction is to supply growing demand in the free market, the company stated in a release. It has not yet announced the volume of power to be negotiated, but it said it will offer products with various different deadlines to meet a variety of customer profiles, including power from projects in the initial construction phase.
"Wind power is the most competitive source of energy in Brazil and it is aligned with the growing desire for energy sustainability in large organizations," said Lucas Araripe, director of new business at Casa dos Ventos.
