Colombia advances plans for energy storage buildout
Colombia should focus on developing energy storage systems based on electrochemical, chemical, thermal and mechanical technologies, according to a government-commissioned report.
The 91-page document analyzes the potential contribution of storage systems to the national power grid while proposing policies and regulatory requirements for their participation in the wholesale market.
The report, authored by consultancy firm EIB, has been released for public consultation and is available for comment until December 19.
