IN BRIEF: Brazil issues Bahia, Rio Grande Sul wind approval

Brazilian power regulator Aneel approved the commercial startup of six wind turbines, totaling 13.8GW, at the Emiliana wind farm in Bahia state.

The watchdog also authorized the testing of 15 turbines at the Verace IV wind farm in Rio Grande do Sul state, according to federal gazette Diário Oficial da União. The Emiliana project belongs to Italy's Enel Green Power, while Verace is being built by local developer Geribatu.
