Petroecuador Statement
This is an automated translation of the original press release issued in Spanish
EP Petroecuador maintains its upward trend in the production of equivalent barrels of oil. As of October 17, 2022, 398,322 equivalent barrels per day were registered, of which 390,202 barrels are oil and 8,120 equivalent barrels come from both the Amistad natural gas field, Block 6, in Machala, and the use of gas associated with oil. , which is being processed in some fields in the Amazon.
EP Petroecuador currently maintains drilling campaigns in fields such as Ishpingo, part of Block 43-ITT; Sacha, Block 60, and Coca – Payamino Block 7 in Orellana, in addition to the joint works with the consortiums, Auca in Orellana, Shushufindi in Sucumbíos and Yuralpa in Napo.
The current administration has focused all its efforts on recovering production in a technical and planned manner, despite the fact that since August 15 there have been six electrical incidents and one community strike, the most serious electrical incident being that of last September 1, when oil equivalent production fell to 377,000 barrels per day. Therefore, it is important to highlight the effort of the company's technical team to take advantage of the country's natural resources in a responsible manner.
In this way, EP Petroecuador's contribution to national oil production is close to 80%, since private companies currently contribute 107,230 barrels of oil/day, according to the report of the Agency for the Regulation and Control of Energy and Resources. Non-Renewable Natural Resources, for which the total national production reaches 505,552 equivalent barrels per day.
