Epmaps aims to expand new consulting business line

Bnamericas
Ecuadorian capital Quito's basic services utility Epmaps is seeking to expand its new consulting business line outside national borders, a company official told BNamericas. "The utility's idea is to expand the new business line nationally, and possibly internationally, which would take place in the next phase of this project," the official said. Epmaps recently signed an agreement with San Mateo municipality's basic services utility, in Esmeraldas province, to provide consulting services to the company, as well as training to the latter's operators and officials. The agreement with San Mateo's utility is for 18 months, and will involve work with all sections of the company, a press release reads. Epmaps' new business line is part of a broader agreement signed with state-run Banco del Estado that seeks to offer consulting services to other utilities looking to obtain loans from the publicly-run financial entity. The official said that Epmaps expects to sign similar agreements with other utilities, but could not reveal their names as no agreements have been signed yet.
