IN BRIEF: Mexico resort town launches drinking water, drainage project

The municipal government of Los Cabos, a beach resort in Baja California Sur state, Mexico, has started to carry out improvement work on its drinking water and drainage systems.

About 8,600 residents will benefit from the initiative, news website BCS Noticias reported.

The federal government is paying for the 30mn-peso (US$1.5mn) project, it added.
