Junior M&A, financing roundup: Calibre, Reunion, Alset

Vancouver's Calibre Mining agreed to acquire all of the interest held by B2Gold in the Borosi concessions in Nicaragua, comprising the Primavera gold-copper project and the Monte Carmelo gold project, according to a Calibri statement.

Calibre agreed to purchase all of B2Gold's 51% interest in the property in consideration of Cdn$3.28mn (US$2.45mn), to be satisfied by the issuance of 23.5mn Calibre shares and by a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty on production.

Reunion Gold entered into a non-binding letter of intent with private company Union Minière de Saül (UMS), pursuant to which UMS would grant Reunion an option to acquire an 80% interest in the Haute Mana gold project in French Guiana.

Quebec-based Reunion would be entitled to exercise the option by completing a preliminary economic assessment on the project within five years, said a press release.

Separately, Reunion said that it entered into an agreement to sell all of its rights, title and interest in the Matthews Ridge manganese project in Guyana to Bosai Minerals Group, an arm's length Chinese company.

Bosai will pay Reunion a total of US$10mn of which US$5mn is payable at closing and US$5mn is to be paid at a rate of US$2/t of manganese concentrate or ore shipped from Matthews Ridge once it enters into production.
