LatAm-US and Canada internet route boasts highest global capacity

Bnamericas

Latin America's international internet capacity increased to 14.6Tbsp in 2014, of which 12.6Tbps of bandwidth is now connected to the US and Canada, making it the highest capacity inter-regional internet route.

In a release, telecoms market research firm TeleGeography said this capacity has now surpassed both the 10.5Tbps in service on the Europe-US and Canada route and 10.4Tbps on the Asia-US and Canada route.

Globally, including private networks and internet bandwidth, the trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific routes continue to have the largest total capacity.
