Latin America's top 6 gas liquefaction projects
Energy developers in Latin America and the Caribbean are moving forward with natural gas liquefaction projects totaling more than US$47bn, according to BNamericas data.
Some eight projects worth US$31.6bn are in the early works stage while two others with a combined cost of US$16.3bn are under construction.
Another six facilities are already in operation following estimated investments of US$6.3bn.
Mexico, which has access to abundant piped gas from the United States, has the largest number of liquefaction projects with eight, followed by Argentina with three and Brazil with two.
