Mexico reallocates funds for roadworks in 3 states

Mexico's transport and communications ministry (SCT) has reallocated more than 184mn pesos (US$9.9mn) to build and modernize roads in three states.
The costliest project, which will receive a 79.3mn-peso subsidy, involves the construction of 10km of roadway in the Baja California state, according to the country's official gazette.
The SCT has also reallocated 78mn pesos to build and modernize 10km of roads in the central state of Guanajuato.
In the state of Guerrero, the authorities reallocated 27mn pesos to build and modernize 4.5km of roads.
SCT has been open to accepting private infrastructure proposals amid steep federal budget cuts due to low oil prices, which have affected at least 19 road projects.
Congress had originally approved a budget of 105bn pesos, 16.5% less than in 2015, before slashing it again this year by 12.3bn pesos.
