NewMarket signs US$6mn contracts in LatAm

US systems integration company NewMarket Technology has signed five new contracts in Brazil and Chile worth a total of US$6mn, the company said in a statement. The new clients, signed by NewMarket's wholly owned Latin American subsidiary UniOne Consulting, are Avon Products, Telefónica (NYSE: TEF), Hyperion Solutions (Nasdaq: HYSL), Brasil Telecom Participações (NYSE: BRP) and the Brazilian airline TAM (NYSE: TAM). The contracts are for business intelligence application development, systems integration and open source application development with all revenue to be recognized in fiscal year 2006. This is a significant contribution towards NewMarket's US$25mn projected revenue for its Latin American business unit.
