Nicaragua launches rural water system tenders

Nicaragua's government launched four tenders for building and rehabilitating water systems under its water and sewage sustainability program to ensure supply in rural areas.
Tender information was published on procurement site Nicaraguacompra and the website of social emergency fund FISE. All projects are partially funded by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (Cabei).
FISE tender 40/2022 comprises the construction of three gravity aqueducts in Naranjo Norte, Zacatera and Bálsamo Abajo, and one aqueduct with an electric pumping system in La Concepción, as well as some sewage works. The initial July 20 deadline to submit proposals was pushed back to August 11. FISE’s acquisitions department will respond to queries through July 27.
Tender 41/2022 involves a new aqueduct with electric pumping system and other sewage works in the communities of Cerro Las Minas, Llanos de Boquerón and San Ramón de las Uvas. The proposals submission deadline was pushed back to August 4 from June 17 and queries can be submitted until July 20.
FISE also published tender 39/2022 for new aqueducts with electric pumping system and sewage works in the communities of Terencio Munguía, Carrizal, Villa Francia, Santa Cruz, and San Cristóbal. Modifying the tender documents four times, the current deadline to present proposals is August 4. Interested parties must submit queries before July 20.
Another aqueduct with electric pumping system is planned for El Limonal, where other sewage works are to be carried out, too. Tender 42/2022 indicates that the deadline to present proposals was pushed back to July 28 from June 16.
