OHL and the state of Mexico have opened a new stretch of the Bicentenario overpass.

The four-lane, 4km stretch runs between Primero de Mayo and Lomas Verdes, and required an investment of 2bn pesos (US$135mn), according to El Financiero.

In 2009, OHL opened the first stretch of the elevated highway running above two of Mexico's busiest roads: Periférico Norte and Autopista México-Querétaro.

The Mexican branch of OHL won the 30-year concession to build and operate the highway in April 2008.
