Peru doubling down on digitization of energy oversight

Peru’s energy and mining investment regulator Osinergmin has launched bidding to further automate the supervision of natural gas operations.

The work entails the implementation of a virtual and mixed reality solution to oversee compression and processing plants, and transport systems.

The infrastructure includes that operated by Transportadora de Gas del Perú, Perú LNG, Aguaytía Energy del Perú, Pluspetrol Peru, Repsol Exploración Perú and Enel Generación Piura, among other companies.

BNamericas previously reported that the watchdog awarded a similar contract to SP South America.

Osinergmin also issued calls to access international digital standards, procure specialized ethical hacking and technological support services, process commercial information of gas concessionaires, review power transmission company REP’s plans and calculate reference energy prices.

Bidding information for the virtual reality, digital standards, ethical hacking, commercial information, REP and pricing tenders is available here, using number 878130, 877389, 876687, 874746, 876331 and 868508, respectively (place the number in the “Identificador Convocatoria” box after clicking on “Búsqueda Avanzada”).
